Summer Daze sits in this strange and exciting space somewhere between bossa-nova, low-fi hip-hop, and chilled out study beats. The instrumentals in the sax, chilled out Brazilian style guitar, and squelching bass combine to form a soundscape that is somewhat more intense than most lounge, but not intense enough to really be considered anything else. It's all-together pleasant easy listening that is so well produced that it keeps my attention through the full 4:24 of the track. NOA-NOA is a Japanese artist that prides himself on blending various styles, but starting from a foundation of Brazilian sounds. He's new, still has a small following, but is already producing at a level beyond his Instagram followers would suggest. Keep an eye out.
